Our family immigrated to the United States. It was a difficult and heartbreaking decision, but my parents decided to leave their homeland for a more promising future for their ten children in the United States. The journey began with just the clothes on our back and the desire to achieve our dream. Our family started baking and selling traditional pastries, cakes, rolls, and cookies to a local supermarket from our home. We opened our bakery in 1980. The entire family worked tirelessly together day and night for seventeen years, especially my mother. My siblings and I eventually graduated from college and pursued our own careers. I left the bakery as well, but my passion for food stayed close to my heart. I explored other fields only to realize my love for baking and cooking grew stronger in the midst of it all. After receiving my Culinary Degree, I was awarded a grant to attend the Culinary Institute of America in New York. It was there that I had the opportunity to bake and cook in five star establishments such as the Four Seasons Hotel & Resorts, Ritz Carlton Hotel & Resorts, and the Robert Mondavi Winery. My love for food, the arts, and creativity led to the creation of Tailormade. The success of Tailormade is dedicated to my mother; a woman who made countless sacrifices for her children and who have inspired me to pursue my own dreams.
